The Band Members

These are some of the most notable band members of Earth, Wind, and Fire that had performed with the band in the past, or still do perform. Some of the members are not in the band because they either left or they died.

The Founder - Maurice White

Maurice White was the founder of the band, born December 19, 1941. He played a lot of roles in the songs the band made. He was best known for being the lead singer, notable for doing well with his tenor voice, which is one of the highest male singing voice types. He also played the drums as well. However, sadly, he died on February 3rd, 2016 at the age of 74 after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. It's actually quite sad to know about this with his contributions said, especially since a lot of famous people have died in 2016.
